Strolling down the baby bedding aisle, I see tons of options for boys these days.  G.I. Joe makes his first appearance, and then the honorable Woody from Toy Story says, “Reach for the sky…”  Yes, boys have an enjoyable bunch to choose from.  After that It dawned on me that there was a strong similarity between all of the baby boy bedding themes, they all seem to hold an occupation.  Sports, astronauts, cowboys, race cars, trains, a lot of the baby bedding themes stir the imagination and subconsciously veer to the future, inquiring, “What do you wish to be when you grow up?  A professional athlete?  A train conductor?  How about a superhero?”  I pondered the idea that setting goals for our children at an early age is a fun and educational lesson of encouragement.   I desired a piece of the learning curve, so I found some wonderful baby bedding ideas to use for my son’s nursery.

My family is quite into sports, so I discovered this Animal All Stars Baby Bedding set that was marvelous.  A team of tigers, bears and lions play a variety of sports with blue, tan and sage colors.  The motif reminded me of college varsity designs with old-fashion stripes and checkers.  It gives off the feeling of comfort and makes you want to cheer, “Go Team!”  I thought this baby bedding theme was a great way to encourage sports participation and leaving our son the choice of selecting which one he liked best. 

Disney’s Jr. Junction is another good crib bedding set for your son’s nursery.  This baby bedding} has a group team of cars with different characters.  Each car has a colourful personality, zipping here and there from the hit film Cars.  I enjoy this theme simply because it incorporates fun cars using various characters, and introduces social profiles at an early age.  Boys already love playing with cars, but now they can see why every car is unique, thus it is strikingly relevant to life today.

Cowboy/westerns are always a beloved theme to spruce up the nursery with for baby bedding.  You have your reliable, endearing horse with lasso and cowboy hat.  I always picture the town sheriff watching over the people and bringing justice and honor.  Rounding up the herd teaches responsibility in the Wild West, with never-ending adventures with train robbers, and rescuing the damsel in distress.

Selecting baby boy bedding can be a pleasurable journey of make-believe.  But I think finding the right baby bedding can be educational and fun.  Reach out to your creative side and choose baby bedding that will stir the imagination, and provide excitement to your son’s nursery.
